I
was introduced to tango while studying in the University.
A neighbour of mine invited |
me
to my first tango lesson. Very soon it became a Friday
night habit and part of my life. |
I had a dancing partner with whom I was sharing lessons
and practicas occasionally, |
but after two years she was becoming a professional and
introduced me to María so I |
would have a new partner for lessons etc. Short after
that we were heading on our first |
trip to USA and Europe, and that made me decide to dedicate
myself full time to wat |
I enjoyed the most. I took lessons with several teachers
but my strongest influence |
was Gustavo Naveira, so he became my most important source
of inspiration and learning. |
Being a Tango teacher is much more than a job for me,
my goal is to transmit the pleasure |
of dancing to the students. Technique and steps are just
tools to help conquer this feeling. |
I have trained for 10 years in martial arts and gymnastics,
so I have always enjoyed |
the physical challenges.Three years ago I started training
in Yoga and there I found a |
great combination of physical and mental training. I love
to interpret the music when dancing |
and this is intensified via the great connection I enjoy
with Maria since the very beginning. |
